The Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor beta known commonly as CHRNB1 or CHRNB forms part of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). This receptor is a transmembrane protein channel that participates in the transmission of signals through the synaptic cleft by responding to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. CHRNB1 has a molecular mass of approximately 58 kDa.
