This antibody can be used in two-site immunoassay for the determination of human TNF alpha. It recognizes a different epitope than the monoclonal antibody

. The two-site immunoassay can be used to determine TNF alpha concentration in the cultures of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Can also be used to neutralize TNF alpha cytotoxic activity in vitro. At a concentration of 2.5 μg/ml, antibody ab9809 causes 50% inhibition of TNF alpha mediated cytotoxicity on L929 cells.
