SCGF beta also known as stem cell growth factor beta or CLEC11A is a cytokine with a mass of approximately 32 kDa. It is expressed in various tissues including bone marrow spleen and liver. SCGF beta plays a role in hematopoiesis influencing the growth and differentiation of stem cells. The protein interacts with surface receptors on target cells leading to intracellular signaling cascades that drive its functions.
