CMKLR1 (chemerin chemokine-like receptor1), also know as DEZ or ChemR23, is a ~42 kD G-protein coupled receptor. CMKLR1 is expressed on differentiated adipocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages, and NK cells. It was reported to bind to chemerin which acts as a chemoattractant for dendritic cells and macrophages to inflammatory regions. CMKLR1 is also believed to be involved with adipose tissue homeostasis or adipose tissue metabolism.
