BAFF (known as B Lymphocyte Stimulator) is a member of the Tumor Necrosis Factor Ligand Superfamily. The extracellular domain of BAFF shows high homology with the proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL protein). BAFF acts mainly as a soluble trimer and binds to three receptors with decreasing affinity in the following order: BAFFR > TACI > BCMA. BAFF has been associated with different human diseases such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), autoimmune pancreatitis, SLE, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren's syndrome, lymphoid cancers, HIV infection, and B cell malignancies such as non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL). A: No, ELISA MAX™ Deluxe Sets do not come with plates. Coating Buffer and Assay Diluent (for blocking and dilutions) are included in these sets. Plates can be ordered separately (Cat No. 423501), and instructions for coating the plates are in the sets’ product manuals.
