Interferon-γ is a potent multifunctional cytokine which is secreted primarily by activated NK cells and T cells. Originally characterized based on anti-viral activities, IFN-γ also exerts anti-proliferative, immunoregulatory, and proinflammatory activities. IFN-γ can upregulate MHC class I and II antigen expression by antigen-presenting cells.

Storage & Handling: Upon receipt, store frozen at -20°C. Make small volume aliquots if needed and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody.

Recommended Usage: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by neutralizing the cytotoxicity induced by recombinant human IFN-γ (Cat. No. 570206) at 0.08 μg/mL and recombinant human TNF-α (Cat. No. 570106) at 0.1 μg/mL on HT-29 cells. ND50 range: 1-5 μg/mL. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
