Product Description
RNA polymerase (RNAP or RNApol) is an enzyme that produces primary transcript RNA. The β subunit is the second-largest subunit, and is encoded by the roB gene. RNA polymerase β is a subunit which, along wtih α (rpoC), limits core polymerase expression.
100microl
Verified Reactivity: E. coli
Reported Reactivity: Other species
Antibody Type: Monoclonal
Host Species: Mouse
Immunogen: Purified recombinant E. coli RNA polymerase β subunit.
Preparation: Dried ascites
Storage & Handling: Store lyophilized antibody at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze/thaw cycles.
Application: WB - Quality tested ELISA - Verified IP - Reported in the literature, not verified in house
Recommended Usage: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. To reconstitute, add 100 µl of ddH2O to the tube containing antibody and mix to dissolve. For Western blotting, the suggested dilution is 1:1000 after reconsitution. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Application Notes: Clone 8RB13 is extremely useful for detecting or purifying core RNAP from a broad range of bacteria. The purified polymerase is highly active for in vitro transcription. Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: immunoprecipitation3. The epitope of clone 8RB13 has been mapped to the sequence PEEKLLRAIFGEKAS3.
