Flow kit gradient TC, ÄKTA ready 450 ÄKTA ready™ 450, ÄKTA ready™ and ÄKTA ready™ XL flow kits are available for isocratic and gradient elution and support a wide range of flow rates. • Improved economy and productivity due to simpler procedures, reducing downtime between products/batches. • Accompanied by extensive product documentation. • Simple exchange of the complete flow path eliminates the need for system cleaning including method development and validation. • Risk for cross-contamination between products/batches is minimized. • Flow kits can be modified on request, for example choosing ReadyMate™ or AseptiQuick™ disposable aseptic connectors instead of Tri‑Clamp™ connectors. ÄKTA ready™ 450 flow kit ÄKTA ready™ 450 is designed for small-scale purification. The flow kit is delivered in one piece and can manage flow rates from 5 to 450 mL/min. The installation takes as little as 10 minutes, and the integrated sensors do not require calibration. An installation test confirms that the system has been set up correctly. A fully closed flow kit option is also available. The system can be used with a column volume up to 2.5 L, but the system has also a column holder for smaller columns. ÄKTA ready™ flow kit ÄKTA ready™ Low Flow Kit manages flow rates of up to 175 L/h using columns typically less than 20 cm in diameter (approximately 5 L column volume). ÄKTA ready™ High Flow Kit manages flow rates of up to 510 L/h using columns with a diameter typically over 20 cm (approximately 10 L column volume or larger). Each flow kit consists of three separate parts: the inlet manifold, pump tubing, and the main flow path, which are easily assembled when the flow kit is connected to the system. ÄKTA ready™ XL flow kit ÄKTA ready™ XL 3/4" Flow Kit manages flow rates of up to 1900 L/h using columns typically less than 80 cm in diameter. ÄKTA ready™ XL 1" Flow Kit manages flow rates of up to 3500 L/h using columns typically less than 120 cm in diameter. Each flow kit consists of five parts: the inlet, pre-column, column and outlet manifold, and pump head. These are easily mounted and connected to the system. Step-by-step guidance and documentation are provided in the system manual. Gradient sections can be added to ÄKTA ready™ and ÄKTA ready™ XL flow kits for gradient elution. Robust and hygienic design ÄKTA ready™ 450 , ÄKTA ready™ , and ÄKTA ready™ XL systems are resistant to chemical agents used in protein recovery, including buffer solutions for adsorption, elution and washing, and regeneration and cleaning solutions. All material is of proven quality, and the entire flow paths are disposable. All wetted materials are fully biocompatible (USP class VI), and of animal-free origin or compliant with EMA/410/01. The materials used are traceable back to their production batches. The flow paths are produced under controlled conditions and packed in a clean room environment (class ISO 7) using validated protocols.
