MYC (MYC proto-oncogene) is a transcriptional factor and oncoprotein. c-myc is a member of MYC gene family. It is located on human chromosome 8q24. c-Myc gene codes for basic helix-loop-helix/leucine zipper (bHLH/LZ) transcription factor. Monoclonal Anti-c-myc (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the 9E10 hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from immunized BALB/c mice.
