Thus PRDM is suggested involve in the regulation of genome expression and chromatin remodeling. PRDM10 shares characteristics with the PR/SET faimly and clusters of zinc fingers DNA binding motifs. It's postualated PRDM10 has an essential role in regulating gene expression and tissue differentiation and a gene repressor. It may play a role in the pathogenesis of gangliosidosis.
