IQUB had apparently higher expression in breast cancer than that in normal tissues, suggesting that it may act an important role in the occurrence and development of breast cancer (PMID: 29968965). IQUB is a critical RS1 adaptor in mouse sperm flagella, and is critical for sperm motility and fertilization (PMID: 36417862).
