About 80% of endogenous ADMA is metabolized by DDAH, principally the DDAH1 isoform (PMID:22460174). It was reported that DDAH1 is highly expressed in vascular endothelial cells in hearts (PMID:19917889). The observed molecular weight of DDAH1 is 35-40 kDa in the literature.
