As a stainless steel anion column, this allows separation and quantification of a range of anions, including F, CI, NO2, Br, NO3, HPO4^2, and SO4^2 anions at ppb levels. How Do I Install The IC-Pak Anion HR Column? To install a stainless steel column, you should first remove end plugs from the column to be saved for use in storage. The column’s outlet will be indicated by an arrow on the label that shows which direction the solvent should flow.
You will then thread the inlet and outlet fittings into the column until finger tight and tighten the fittings, being sure not to over-tighten as it will damage the connection.
When a new column is connected or a damaged compression screw or ferrule is removed, you can prepare a new tubing or ferrule connection.
