PACSIN1 also known as Syndapin I is a protein that plays a role in membrane trafficking and cytoskeleton organization. It has an alternative name Syndapin I and its molecular mass is approximately 50 kDa. This protein is expressed in the brain particularly in the neuronal tissues where it associates with membranes and interacts with other proteins to regulate endocytosis. Through its F-BAR domain PACSIN1 senses membrane curvature and participates in membrane tubulation processes.
