UGT1A1 also known as UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A1 is an enzyme critical for conjugating bilirubin and various hormones with glucuronic acid. It has a molecular mass of approximately 54 kDa. The enzyme primarily localizes in the liver but is also found in other tissues such as the intestine and kidney.
