Protein kinase C eta (PKC eta) is an enzyme also known as PKC η which belongs to the PKC family of serine/threonine kinases. This protein has a molecular mass of approximately 80 kDa and shows expression in numerous tissues with strong presence in epithelia and the immune system. PKC eta's mechanical function involves phosphorylation of serine and threonine residues on cellular target proteins modulating their activity.
