ANKK1 also known as Ankyrin repeat and kinase domain containing 1 is a protein encoded by the ANKK1 gene. This protein has a molecular mass of approximately 78 kDa. ANKK1 is expressed in various tissues with notable expression in the brain. It consists of both ankyrin repeat domains which facilitate protein-protein interactions and a serine/threonine kinase domain which is responsible for its kinase activity.
