Transglutaminase 5 (TGM5) also known as TGase 5 or TG5 is an enzyme part of the transglutaminase family. This enzyme has a molecular mass of about 78 kDa and plays a role in catalyzing the formation of epsilon-(gamma-glutamyl) lysine isopeptide bonds. These covalent bonds contribute to the stability and mechanical properties of proteins.
