The GOLGA3 protein also known as Golgin subfamily A member 3 is a structural protein located in the Golgi apparatus. GOLGA3 has a mass of about 170 kDa. Researchers found its expression in various cell types but it has enhanced expression in testes. GOLGA3 participates in maintaining the structural integrity of the Golgi apparatus where it helps tether and organize the Golgi membrane stacks ensuring proper protein and lipid trafficking within the cell.
