Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our
conjugation kits
for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar
Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar

G protein-coupled receptor 63 (GPCR GPR63) also known simply as GPR63 is a member of the GPCR family. GPCRs are integral membrane proteins involved in transmitting signals from the outside to the inside of cells. GPR63 has a molecular mass of approximately 45 kDa and is expressed in the human brain particularly in areas such as the thalamus and putamen. Despite the identification of GPR63 scientists have not fully clarified its ligands and specific endogenous activators which remains a topic of ongoing research.
Biological function summary
GPR63 mediates cellular responses essential for brain function. While not part of a larger multi-protein complex it is suspected to influence neuronal signaling pathways. These pathways often affect processes such as neuroinflammation and neurotransmission. The specific biological roles remain to be fully determined but studies indicate GPR63's involvement in maintaining neural communication and possibly impacting synaptic plasticity.
Pathways
We find that GPR63 engages in signaling routes such as the G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway and potentially influences the cyclic AMP (cAMP) signaling pathway as well. These pathways play important roles in cellular responses and neurological functions. Related proteins in these pathways could include other GPCRs and proteins like adenylate cyclase which can interact with receptors like GPR63 fitting into broader signaling networks in the brain.
GPR63 has been linked to neurological conditions including schizophrenia and depression. Studies suggest that aberrations in GPR63 signaling may influence these conditions by affecting neurotransmitter balance and brain signaling integrity. This target's connection to proteins involved in these disorders such as dopamine receptors highlights its potential importance in understanding and addressing mental health disorders. Further research may uncover additional roles and therapeutic targets related to GPR63.
