Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our
conjugation kits
for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar
Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar

IRX1 also known as Iroquois homeobox 1 functions mechanically as a transcription factor. With a mass of approximately 51 kDa this protein plays an essential role in regulating gene expression during embryonic development. IRX1 expresses mainly in the heart central nervous system and various tissues involved in early development. The regulation and expression patterns make it an interesting target for developmental biology studies.
Biological function summary
IRX1 regulates tissue-specific gene expression and contributes to the establishment of body plans. As part of the Iroquois homeobox gene family it often functions in concert with other members to form a transcriptional complex. This complex is important for the proper development of several organs and systems including heart and brain structures. Its role in the morphogenesis of these tissues highlights its significance in developmental processes.
Pathways
IRX1 integrates into key developmental signaling pathways such as the Wnt signaling and Hedgehog pathways. These pathways are essential for cellular proliferation differentiation and patterning. IRX1 interacts with proteins like GLI1 and β-catenin which are pivotal within these pathways to modulate transcription of target genes. Its involvement supports neurodevelopmental and cardiac developmental processes.
IRX1 displays associations with certain congenital heart defects and oncological conditions including gastric cancer. Studies show that IRX1 dysregulation may lead to malformations in cardiac development linking it to heart defects. Additionally IRX1 interacts with factors like E2F1 in cancer pathways to influence tumor progression suggesting a potential role in tumorigenesis. Understanding these connections could facilitate the development of therapeutic interventions for conditions involving IRX1.
