Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our
conjugation kits
for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar
Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar

Arginine often referred to as ARG plays a central role in various biological processes. It is an amino acid with a molecular weight of about 174.2 Da. Arginine is expressed in multiple tissues including the liver and endothelium. It often serves as a precursor for the synthesis of various biomolecules such as nitric oxide. In scientific literature you may also encounter it under alternative spellings like 'arganine' or 'argenine' though these are less common.
Biological function summary
Arginine contributes to protein synthesis and serves as a substrate for enzymes like nitric oxide synthase. It forms part of larger protein complexes and participates in metabolic pathways. Nitric oxide produced from arginine acts as a signaling molecule that modulates vascular function by inducing vasodilation. It also takes part in immune responses and has a role in cell division wound healing and hormone release.
Pathways
Arginine plays a significant role in the urea cycle and the nitric oxide signaling pathway. It interacts with proteins such as ornithine transcarbamylase in the urea cycle facilitating the removal of ammonia. Meanwhile in the nitric oxide pathway it collaborates with nitric oxide synthase to produce nitric oxide which affects smooth muscle relaxation and neurotransmission.
Arginine has connections to cardiovascular diseases and immune-associated conditions. The production of nitric oxide which involves arginine impacts cardiovascular health and its dysregulation can lead to hypertension. Additionally arginine metabolism influences conditions like arginase deficiency which affects the urea cycle. These conditions can involve other proteins such as ornithine transcarbamylase demonstrating the interlinked nature of arginine with various biological and pathological processes.
