Norovirus GII.4+GII.1+GII.2 represents a combination of genotypes within the Norovirus family known for causing acute gastroenteritis. Genotype GII.4 is the most significant in terms of infection rate while GII.1 and GII.2 contribute to the genetic diversity of noroviruses. Structurally the norovirus capsid protein also known as the major capsid protein (VP1) has a mass of approximately 58 kDa.
