NLE1 also known as Notchless homolog 1 is a core protein involved in ribosomal biogenesis and maturation. This protein gets expressed in various tissue types with higher occurrence in actively dividing cells such as in the bone marrow. The exact molecular mass of NLE1 is approximately 78 kDa. NLE1's primary mechanical function involves ensuring the proper assembly and functioning of the ribosomal subunits during protein synthesis.
