Alpha Taxilin also known as TXLNA taxilin alpha or IL8RA binding protein is a protein with a molecular mass of about 49 kDa. It plays a role in intracellular transport processes including vesicle fusion. Primarily expressed in the brain Alpha Taxilin interacts with membranes and cytoskeletal elements to facilitate cargo and organelle movement. Its presence in other tissues such as the placenta suggests additional roles beyond neural activities.
