TBKBP1 also known as TANK-Binding Kinase 1 Binding Protein 1 is a protein involved in several cellular processes. It has a mass of around 61 kDa. TBKBP1 is widely expressed in various tissues including the heart brain liver and kidney. Mechanically TBKBP1 interacts with TBK1 (TANK-binding kinase 1) influencing signal transduction and the regulation of innate immune responses.
Biological function summary
TBKBP1 functions as a modulator of immune signaling pathways. It often associates with complexes involving adaptor proteins such as TANK and IKK epsilon (IKKε).
