Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our
conjugation kits
for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
Sandwich ELISA
The recommended antibody orientation is based on internal optimization for ELISA-based assays. Antibody orientation is assay dependent and needs to be optimized for each assay type. Please note that the range provided for this antibody is only an estimation based on the performance of the product using the recommended antibody pair. Performance of the antibody pair will depend on the specific characteristics of your assay. We guarantee the product works in sandwich ELISA, but we do not guarantee the sensitivity or dynamic range of the antibody in your assay.

XCL1 also known as lymphotactin is a chemokine with a molecular mass of approximately 10 kDa. This protein plays a role in the immune system directing the movement of cells such as T lymphocytes to sites of inflammation or infection. XCL1 is mainly expressed in activated T cells natural killer cells and some other immune cells. Its expression gets upregulated in response to certain stimuli which helps to recruit additional immune effector cells to areas where they are needed.
Biological function summary
XCL1 participates in chemotaxis guiding the migration of specific cells to enhance the immune response. Although XCL1 does not form part of a larger protein complex it interacts with its specific receptor XCR1 on target cells. This interaction triggers intracellular signaling pathways contributing to the controlled movement and positioning of immune cells in response to infection or inflammatory signals.
Pathways
XCL1 is significantly involved in the chemokine signaling pathway and plays a part in immune response regulation. This pathway shared with other chemokines like CCL2 and CCL5 orchestrates the precise movement and activity of immune cells. XCL1’s interaction with XCR1 is central to initiating downstream signaling processes which influence immune responses and inflammation.
XCL1 associates with autoimmune diseases and certain viral infections. Its dysregulation appears in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis where the abnormal control of immune cells contributes to inflammation and tissue damage. In viral infections like HIV XCL1 helps modulate immune cell responses against the virus. XCR1 the receptor of XCL1 also plays a role in these diseases being a critical component in mediating the effects of lymphotactin in varied pathological contexts.
