Protease Inhibitor Cocktail V, EDTA-Free (ab287909) (previously called EZBlock Protease Inhibitor Cocktail V, EDTA-Free K290) is a cocktail of four protease inhibitors that have been optimized for the inhibition of serine and cysteine but not metalloproteases. Since this cocktail does not contain any EDTA, metal-dependent proteins and IMAC (immobilized metal affinity chromatography) isolation techniques (e.g. for poly-His-tagged proteins) are not affected.
Reconstitute each vial with 1 ml D.I water to obtain a 100X concentrated stock solution.
A 1X stock solution contains AEBSF HCl (500 μM), Aprotinin bovine lung (1 μM), E-64 (150 nM), and Leupeptin, hemisulfate (1 μM).
This product is manufactured by BioVision, an Abcam company and was previously called K290 Protease Inhibitor Cocktail V, EDTA-Free, EZBlock™. K290-set is the same size as the 5 vial size of ab287909.
