Slit1 also known as Slit homolog 1 protein is a large extracellular matrix protein with a mass of approximately 200 kDa. This protein is expressed in the developing and adult nervous system particularly in the brain. It contributes to axon guidance and cellular migration through its interaction with Robo receptors.
