Product details:
Human FCRL2 SimpleStep ELISA
kit is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of FCRL2 protein in human serum, plasma, saliva and cell culture supernatant. Quantitate Human FCRL2 with 11 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA
technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA
plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA
protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA
technology provides several benefits:
-Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
-High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
-Fully validated in biological samples
-96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips
A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA
microplate (
ab315065
) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA

FCRL2 also known as FC Receptor-like 2 or CD307b belongs to the family of Fc receptor-like molecules. It is a transmembrane receptor with a mass of approximately 110 kDa. FCRL2 shows expression mainly in B cells with higher levels notably in some mature B cell subtypes found in the lymphoid tissues. Its expression is significantly observed in the follicles of the spleen and tonsils indicating a role in the immune responses centered around these tissues.
Biological function summary
FCRL2 modulates signaling in B cells partaking in immune regulation. It participates in the regulatory networks that adjust B-cell function and differentiation but it does not form any known complex with other proteins. The protein has a structural similarity to classical Fc receptors that suggests a modulatory role in immune response. Researchers consider FCRL2 significant in altering B cell receptor signaling though the exact ligands remain under active investigation.
Pathways
The protein FCRL2 integrates into immune signaling pathways such as the B cell receptor (BCR) signaling pathway. This pathway plays a direct role in B cell activation and antibody production. FCRL2 interacts with other FCRLS members in such pathways to maintain immune homeostasis. The extent of its integration implies a fine-tuning of B cell functions and links to Fcγ receptors indicating a shared regulatory network in pathways.
FCRL2 associates with conditions like chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and autoimmune diseases. Increased expression of FCRL2 often correlates with certain leukemia subtypes hinting at its potential as a biomarker for disease progression. Moreover its dysregulation may contribute to autoimmune conditions where B cell dysfunctions are central. Studies have also connected FCRL2 with other immune-regulatory proteins in these diseases further highlighting its relevance in pathological conditions related to immune response dysregulation.
