PRC1 also known as Protein Regulator of Cytokinesis 1 affiliates with cellular division mechanics. This protein weighs approximately 72 kDa. PRC1 localizes in the nucleus during the interphase and redistributes to the spindle midzone during mitosis. It plays a role in the stabilization of microtubules facilitating proper cytokinesis.
