Product Description

QA20A43 recognizes human CD239, also known as Lutheran antigen or Basal Cell Adhesion Molecule (B-CAM). Human CD239 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is encoded by B-CAM which belongs to the Ig gene superfamily. Full-length BCAM (CD239) is comprised of an extracellular region with two N-terminal V-type Ig-like domains followed by three C2-type Ig-like domains, a transmembrane region, and cytoplasmic domain of 59 amino acid residues. CD239 is expressed on erythrocytes in the peripheral blood and on the basal layer of vascular endothelial cells or some epithelial cells.
100tests
Verified Reactivity: Human
Antibody Type: Recombinant
Host Species: Mouse
Formulation: Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and BSA (origin USA)
Preparation: The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with PE under optimal conditions.
Concentration: Lot-specific (to obtain lot-specific concentration and expiration, please enter the lot number in our Certificate of Analysis online tool.)
Storage & Handling: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2°C and 8°C, and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Application: FC - Quality tested
Recommended Usage: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µL per million cells in 100 µL staining volume or 5 µL per 100 µL of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Excitation Laser: Blue Laser (488 nm)Green Laser (532 nm)/Yellow-Green Laser (561 nm)
Application Notes: Clone QA20A43 can completely block the binding of positive clone to target cells.

Structure: ~85 kD single pass type I membrane glycoprotein
Distribution: Erythrocytes in the peripheral blood and on the basal layer of vascular endothelial cells or some epithelial cells
Function: CD239 is upregulated upon malignant transformation of some cell types including those found in ovarian carcinomas and plays a role in epithelial cell cancer and in the vaso-occlusion of red blood cells in sickle cell disease.
Ligand/Receptor: CD239 is a receptor for the extracellular matrix protein, laminin
Cell Type: Antigen-presenting cells, Endothelial cells, Epithelial cells, Erythrocytes
