The MEB-38 immunoglobulin reacts with Trinitrophenol (TNP). The isotype of this antibody is mouse (C57BL/6) IgE,κ. This monoclonal antibody was chosen as an isotype control after screening on a variety of resting, activated, live, and fixed mouse, rat and human tissues. It is useful as a standard in mouse IgE ELISA.

Application Notes: The MEB-38 immunoglobulin is useful as an isotype-matched control (for the relevant formats) for immunostaining for flow cytometric analysis or western blotting, as well as an immunoglobulin E isotype standard for ELISA.
