Product Description
CD19 represents one of the most clinically significant and reliable biomarkers in hematologic medicine. This transmembrane glycoprotein serves as the gold standard for B cell identification and characterization throughout the entire B cell lifecycle—from early development through mature B cell stages. CD19 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a central role in B cell development, activation, and signaling. It functions as a coreceptor that amplifies signaling through the B cell receptor (BCR), lowering the threshold for B cell activation. CD19 forms a complex with other surface molecules such as CD21 and CD8, enhancing calcium signaling and downstream kinase activation. It is expressed from early B cell development through mature B cells but is downregulated upon terminal differentiation into plasma cells. Because of its consistent expression on B cells and role in immune regulation, CD19 is a key target in B cell-directed immunotherapies.
