Product Description
Fascin is a 55 kD F-actin binding protein that is involved in cell motility and migration. Fascin plays an important role in the organization and formation of membrane ruffles, stress fibers, and a diverse set of cell protrusions, such as filopodia. In the mouse subventricular zone-derived migratory neuroblasts, Fascin is highly upregulated to guide the migration of cells along the rostral migratory stream. In Drosophila , Fascin controls neuronal class-specific dendrite arbor morphology to elicit the accurate establishment of neuronal circuits.
