Biolegend, 871101, Purified anti-EIF2AK2 Antibody, 25μg

IFN-induced dsRNA-dependent serine/threonine-protein kinase (EIF2AK2) is an important component of the innate immune response to viral infection. The N-terminal of EIF2AK2 contains a double stranded RNA (dsRNA) binding domain, which binds dsRNA introduced to the host cells by viral infection, and activates a pro-apoptotic signal in the host cell. Recent studies have shown that activation of EIF2AK2 can lead to the accumulation of amyloid beta in Alzheimer disease patients, suggesting it plays a role in neurodegenerative disorders.

Recommended Usage: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by western blotting. For western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.5 - 1.0 µg/mL. For immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, a concentration range of 0.5 - 10 µg/mL is suggested. For immunocytochemistry, a concentration range of 0.5 - 10 μg/mL is recommended. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Application Notes: This antibody reacts stronger with rat tissue samples than human cell line samples. Recommended WB usage for rat brain: 0.5 - 2 µg/mL; Recommended WB usage for human cell lines: 2 - 10 µg/mL
