Biolegend, 871901, Purified anti-Desmoglein 3 Antibody, 25μg

Desmoglein-3 is a glycoprotein mainly expressed in the basal lower layers of the epidermis and on mucosal surfaces. It is the Ca 2+ binding transmembrane components of the desmosomes that functions as cell-cell junctions between epithelial cells as well as other cell types. Clinically, desmoglein-3 has been identified as one of the autoantigens in the autoimmune skin blistering disease pemphigus vulgaris. It also serves as a prognostic marker of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
