Product Description
Polyclonal Antibody for studying RPL7A. Validated for Western Blotting,Immunofluorescence (Immunocytochemistry). Highly specific and rigorously validated in-house, Ribosomal Protein L7a (E109) Antibody (CST #2415) is ready to ship. Product Usage Information Western Blotting: 1:1000 Immunofluorescence (Immunocytochemistry): 1:100 Storage Supplied in 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg/ml BSA and 50% glycerol. Store at -20°C. Do not aliquot the antibody. Protocol Available protocols: Western Blotting, Immunofluorescence (Immunocytochemistry) Specificity / Sensitivity Ribosomal Protein L7a (E109) Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ribosomal protein L7a. Immunofluorescent analysis using this antibody shows exclusive localization of ribosomal protein L7a to nucleoli during ribosomal biosynthesis. Species Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey Source / Purification Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Glu109 of human ribosomal protein L7a. Antibodies are purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography. Background Ribosomal protein L7a is a highly conserved ribosome protein localized to 60S ribosomal subunit (1). The protein has distinct domains that target the newly synthesized polypeptide to nucleus and the nucleoli, the site of ribosome biosynthesis (2). Ribosomal protein L7a can also interact with RNA through two distinct RNA-binding domains in the protein (3). Taken together, nucleolar localization and the ability to bind RNA suggests that ribosomal protein L7a may act as an important component for ribosome biosynthesis and function. Alternate Names 60S ribosomal protein L7a; L7A; Large ribosomal subunit protein eL8; PLA-X polypeptide; ribosomal protein L7a; RL7A; RPL7A; SURF-3; SURF3; surfeit 3; Surfeit locus protein 3; thyroid hormone receptor uncoupling protein; TRUP Specification REACTIVITY: H M R Mk SENSITIVITY: Endogenous MW (kDa): 32 SOURCE: Rabbit
