Product Description
Monoclonal Antibody for studying ANXA1. Validated for WB,IHC,IF,F. Highly specific and rigorously validated in-house, Annexin A1 (D5V2T) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (BSA and Azide Free) (CST #30797) is ready to ship. Product Usage Information This product is the carrier free version of product #32934. All data were generated using the same antibody clone in the standard formulation which contains BSA and glycerol. This formulation is ideal for use with technologies requiring specialized or custom antibody labeling, including fluorophores, metals, lanthanides, and oligonucleotides. It is not recommended for ChIP, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN or CUT&Tag assays. If you require a carrier free formulation for chromatin profiling, please contact us . Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. BSA and Azide Free antibodies are quality control tested by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) to determine antibody integrity. Formulation Supplied in 1X PBS (10 mM Na 2 HPO 4 , 3 mM KCl, 2 mM KH 2 PO 4 , and 140 mM NaCl (pH 7.8)). BSA and Azide Free. For standard formulation of this product see product # 32934 Storage Store at -20°C. This product will freeze at -20°C so it is recommended to aliquot into single-use vials to avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. A slight precipitate may be present and can be dissolved by gently vortexing. This will not interfere with antibody performance. Specificity / Sensitivity Annexin A1 (D5V2T) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (BSA and Azide Free) recognizes endogenous levels of total annexin A1 protein. Species Reactivity: Human Source / Purification Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the amino terminus of human annexin A1 protein. Background The annexin superfamily consists of 13 calcium or calcium and phospholipid binding proteins with high biological and structural homology (1). Annexin-1 (ANXA1) is the first characterized member of the annexin family of proteins and is able to bind to cellular membranes in a calcium-dependent manner, promoting membrane fusion and endocytosis (2-4). Annexin A1 has anti-inflammatory properties and inhibits phospholipase A2 activity (5,6). Annexin A1 can accumulate on internalized vesicles after EGF-stimulated endocytosis and may be required for a late stage in inward vesiculation (7). Phosphorylation by PKC, EGFR, and Chak1 results in inhibition of annexin A1 function (8-10). Annexin A1 has also been identified as one of the 'eat-me' signals on apoptotic cells that are to be recognized and ingested by phagocytes (11). Annexin A1, as an endogenous anti-inflammatory mediator, has roles in many diverse cellular functions, such as membrane aggregation, inflammation, phagocytosis, proliferation, apoptosis, and tumorigenesis and cancer development (12-14). Alternate Names Annexin A1; Annexin I; annexin I (lipocortin I); Annexin-1; ANX1; anxa 1; ANXA1; Calpactin II; Calpactin-2; Chromobindin-9; epididymis secretory sperm binding protein; Lipocortin I; LPC1; p35; Phospholipase A2 inhibitory protein Specification REACTIVITY: H SENSITIVITY: Endogenous MW (kDa): 38 Source/Isotype: Rabbit IgG
