Product Description
Monoclonal Antibody for studying CTPS. Validated for Western Blotting,Immunoprecipitation. Available in 2 sizes. Highly specific and rigorously validated in-house, CTPS1 (E7M3Q) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CST #31810) is ready to ship. Product Usage Information Western Blotting: 1:1000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 Storage Supplied in 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol and less than 0.02% sodium azide. Store at -20°C. Do not aliquot the antibody. Protocol Available protocols: Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation Specificity / Sensitivity CTPS1 (E7M3Q) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total CTPS1 protein. This antibody does not cross-react with CTPS2 protein. Species Reactivity: Human Source / Purification Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ala340 of human CTPS1 protein. Background CTPS1Â (cytidine triphosphate synthase 1 or CTP synthase 1) catalyzes the conversion of UTP to CTP through ATP-dependent amination (1). Research studies show that pyrimidine biosynthesis is upregulated in pancreatic cancer cell models of resistance to gemcitabine, a deoxycytidine analog. Increased pyrimidine biosynthesis leads to elevated levels of endogenous dCTP, which outcompetes gemcitabine from incorporating into DNA during replication and, therefore, reduces the anti-cancer effectiveness of gemcitabine. Induction of expression was observed in gemcitabine-resistant pancreatic cancer cell models. Gemcitabine resistance directly correlates with expression levels in various pancreatic cancer cell lines (2). Furthermore, CTPS1 expression was shown to increase in T cells upon T-cell receptor activation, suggesting a critical role of CTPS1 in the immune system (3). Alternate Names CTP synthase; CTP synthase 1; CTP synthetase 1; CTPS; CTPS1; cytidine 5-prime triphosphate synthetase; cytidine 5'-triphosphate synthetase; GATD5; IMD24; PYRG1; UTP--ammonia ligase 1 Specification REACTIVITY: H SENSITIVITY: Endogenous MW (kDa): 78 Source/Isotype: Rabbit IgG
