Store at -20°C. Do not aliquot the antibody. For a carrier free (BSA and azide free) version of this product see product # 30530 . Protocol Available protocols: Western Blotting, Immunofluorescence (Frozen), Flow Cytometry (Fixed/Permeabilized) Specificity / Sensitivity Granzyme F (E2U7L) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total Granzyme F protein. This antibody does not cross-react with other Granzyme proteins. Species Reactivity: Mouse Source / Purification Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gln197 of mouse Granzyme F protein. Background Granzymes are a family of serine proteases expressed by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer (NK) cells and are key components of immune responses to pathogens and transformed cells (1). In mice, ten family members have been identified: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, K, M, and N (2). Granzymes are synthesized as zymogens and are processed into mature enzymes by cleavage of a leader sequence. They are released by exocytosis in lysosome-like granules containing perforin, a membrane pore-forming protein (3). Granzyme F induces a novel cell death pathway consisting of externalization of phosphatidylserine (PS), nuclear condensation, mitochondrial damage, cytochrome c release, single-stranded DNA nicking, and caspase inactivation (4). CTLs from mice with reduced expression of Granzyme F and C display diminished cytotoxicity (5).  Alternate Names AKA granzyme G; C134; CCP; CCP4; Ctl; CTL serine protease 3; Ctla; Ctla-7; Ctla7; Cytotoxic cell protease 4; Cytotoxic serine protease 3; GRAF; Granzyme F; granzyme G; Gzmf; GZMH; MCSP; MCSP-3; MCSP3 Specification REACTIVITY: M SENSITIVITY: Endogenous MW (kDa): 30-40 Source/Isotype: Rabbit IgG
