Research studies have shown that CD180 engages signaling cascades in mature B cells that drive cell proliferation (1-3). Indeed, CD180 functions with TLR4 as an LPS receptor on B cells and, upon binding LPS, transmits proliferation and survival signals that require the Vav family of guanine nucleotide exchange factors (4-6).
