Product Description
Monoclonal Antibody for studying peregrin. Validated for WB,WB,IP,ChIP. Available in 2 sizes. Highly specific and rigorously validated in-house, BRPF1 (F4F2X) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CST #61544) is ready to ship. Product Usage Information For optimal ChIP results, use 5 μL of antibody and 10 μg of chromatin (approximately 4 × 10 6 cells) per IP. This antibody has been validated using SimpleChIP ® Enzymatic Chromatin IP Kits. Western Blotting: 1:1000 Simple Western™: 1:10 - 1:50 Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 Chromatin IP: 1:100 Storage Supplied in 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg/mL BSA, 50% glycerol, and less than 0.02% sodium azide. Store at -20°C. Do not aliquot the antibody. Protocol Available protocols: Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation, Chromatin IP Specificity / Sensitivity BRPF1 (F4F2X) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total BRPF1 protein. This antibody recognizes four isoforms of BRPF1 and detects a 25 kDa protein of unknown identity in some cell lines. Species Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey Source / Purification Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Val987 of human BRPF1 protein. Background Bromodomain and PHD finger-containing protein 1 (BRPF1) is an epigenetic reader protein composed of one bromodomain, two PHD fingers, and one PWWP domain. This protein is a component of the MOZ/MORF complex and plays critical roles in complex formation and the regulation of histone acetyltransferase activity (1,2). It has also been suggested that the BRPF1 bromodomain may contribute to the chromatin binding and target specificity of the MOZ/MORF complex (2-4). Importantly, BRPF1 is essential for embryonic development. Mouse knockout studies have shown that BRPF1 depletion affects brain development and hematopoiesis and can even lead to early lethality (5). Furthermore, genetic aberrations of can cause intellectual disability (6); BRPF1 also plays key regulatory roles in medulloblastoma, acute myeloid leukemia, and hepatocellular carcinoma (7-9).
