Background Transgelin 2 (TAGLN2) is an actin binding protein with roles in migration and invasion of cancer cells. High expression of transgelin-2 indicates poor prognosis in diabetes-associated pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (1). Transgelin 2 plays a role in Toll-like receptor (TLR)-stimulated phagocytosis by macrophages (2), and regulates T cell activation (3).
