Product Usage Information This product is the carrier free version of product #9625. All data were generated using the same antibody clone in the standard formulation which contains BSA and glycerol. This formulation is ideal for use with technologies requiring specialized or custom antibody labeling, including fluorophores, metals, lanthanides, and oligonucleotides. It is not recommended for ChIP, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN or CUT&Tag assays. If you require a carrier free formulation for chromatin profiling, please contact us . Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. BSA and Azide Free antibodies are quality control tested by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) to determine antibody integrity. Formulation Supplied in 1X PBS (10 mM Na 2 HPO 4 , 3 mM KCl, 2 mM KH 2 PO 4 , and 140 mM NaCl (pH 7.8)). BSA and Azide Free. This product will freeze at -20°C so it is recommended to aliquot into single-use vials to avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Background Rab6 is a member of the Ras superfamily of small Rab GTPases implicated in endocytosis (1). The three distinct members of the Rab6 subfamily (Rab6A, Rab6A', and Rab6B) are structurally similar but likely exhibit non-overlapping functions (2,3). Rab6 localized to the Golgi (4) regulates retrograde transport of membrane-bound target proteins from the Golgi apparatus to the endoplasmic reticulum (5-7) or from the Golgi to the endosome during exocytotic transport (8). Rab6 interacts with microtubule motor proteins such as rabkinesin-6 (KIF20A) and dynein/dynactin complexes; Rab6-mediated transport requires a functionally intact microtubule system (9,10). Rab6 also regulates cytokinesis and cell cycle check point through interactions with Rab6 effector proteins, including the dynein/dynactin protein DCTN1 and the GTPase activating protein RABGAP1 (11,12).
