Product Description
Monoclonal Antibody for studying DNAM-1. Validated for Western Blotting,IHC Leica Bond,Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin). Highly specific and rigorously validated in-house, DNAM-1/CD226 (E8L9G) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (BSA and Azide Free) (CST #66991) is ready to ship. Product Usage Information This product is the carrier free version of product #66631. All data were generated using the same antibody clone in the standard formulation which contains BSA and glycerol. This formulation is ideal for use with technologies requiring specialized or custom antibody labeling, including fluorophores, metals, lanthanides, and oligonucleotides. It is not recommended for ChIP, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, or CUT&Tag assays. If you require a carrier-free formulation for chromatin profiling, please contact us . Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. BSA and Azide Free antibodies are quality control tested by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) to determine antibody integrity. Formulation Supplied in 1X PBS (10 mM Na 2 HPO 4 , 3 mM KCl, 2 mM KH 2 PO 4 , and 140 mM NaCl (pH 7.8)). BSA and Azide Free. For standard formulation of this product see product # 66631 . Storage Store at -20°C. This product will freeze at -20°C so it is recommended to aliquot into single-use vials to avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. A slight precipitate may be present and can be dissolved by gently vortexing. This will not interfere with antibody performance. Specificity / Sensitivity DNAM-1/CD226 (E8L9G) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (BSA and Azide Free) recognizes endogenous levels of total DNAM-1/CD226 protein. Species Reactivity: Human Source / Purification Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with recombinant protein specific to the amino terminus of human DNAM-1/CD226 protein. Background DNAM-1/CD226 is a member of the immunoglobulin-like superfamily. It is expressed on T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, monocytes, and macrophages. It is a major activating receptor on NK cells. Engagement with its ligands Nectin-2 (CD112) and PVR (poliovirus receptor, also known as CD155) on the target cells leads to downstream activation of ERK, AKT, and PLCg2 signaling pathways that are crucial for NK activation and NK-mediated killing (1-4). LFA-1 physically associates with DNAM-1/CD226 and contributes to its signaling (5). Activating signal of DNAM-1/CD226 is counterbalanced by inhibitory receptors TIGIT and CD96, competing for the common ligands CD122 and PVR (6,7). Alternate Names adhesion glycoprotein; CD226; CD226 antigen; CD226 molecule; DNAM-1; DNAM1; DNAX accessory molecule 1; DNAX accessory molecule-1; platelet and T cell activation antigen 1; PTA1; T lineage-specific activation antigen 1 antigen; TLiSA1 Specification REACTIVITY: H SENSITIVITY: Endogenous MW (kDa): 70 Source/Isotype: Rabbit IgG
