Product Description
Monoclonal Antibody for studying RXRbeta. Validated for Western Blotting,Immunoprecipitation,Immunofluorescence (Immunocytochemistry). Available in 2 sizes. Highly specific and rigorously validated in-house, RXR beta (F2O7C) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CST #68484) is ready to ship. Product Usage Information Western Blotting: 1:1000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:200 Immunofluorescence (Immunocytochemistry): 1:10000 Storage Supplied in 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg/mL BSA, 50% glycerol, and less than 0.02% sodium azide. Store at -20°C. Do not aliquot the antibody. Protocol Available protocols: Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence (Immunocytochemistry) Specificity / Sensitivity RXR beta (F2O7C) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total RXR beta protein. This antibody does not cross-react with RXR alpha or RXR gamma protein. Species Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey Source / Purification Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro41 of human RXR beta protein. Background The human retinoid X receptors (RXRs) are encoded by three distinct genes ( α, β, and γ) and bind selectively and with high affinity to the vitamin A derivative, 9- retinoic acid. RXRs are type-II nuclear hormone receptors that are primarily localized to the nuclear compartment independent of ligand binding. Nuclear RXRs form heterodimers with nuclear hormone receptor subfamily 1 proteins, including thyroid hormone receptor, retinoic acid receptors, vitamin D receptor, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors, liver X receptors, and farnesoid X receptor (1). Since RXRs heterodimerize with multiple nuclear hormone receptors, they play a central role in transcriptional control of numerous hormonal signaling pathways by binding to -acting response elements in the promoter/enhancer region of target genes (2). Alternate Names DAUDI6; H-2RIIBP; MGC1831; MHC class I promoter binding protein; NR2B2; Nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group B member 2; RCoR-1; Retinoic acid receptor RXR-beta; Retinoid X receptor beta; retinoid X receptor, beta; RXRB Specification REACTIVITY: H M R Mk SENSITIVITY: Endogenous MW (kDa): 78 Source/Isotype: Rabbit IgG
