Product Usage Information IHC Leica Bond: 1:50 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50 Storage Supplied as liquid tissue culture supernatant containing sodium azide as a preservative. Stable for 6 months when stored at 4°C. Do not aliquot the antibody. Note: This product is only available in the format listed above. We are unable to provide this in a carrier free, custom formulation. Non-specific staining was observed in testis by immunohistochemistry. Species Reactivity: Human Source / Purification Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a prokaryotic recombinant fusion protein corresponding to the full external domain of human CD1A protein. Background CD1A is a type 1 cell surface transmembrane glycoprotein structurally similar to MHC Class 1 that is expressed in association with β2-microglobulin (1). CD1A is a member of the CD1 family and has been shown to mediate the presentation of primary lipid and glycolipid antigens to T cell lymphocytes for recognition (1,2). It is expressed by Langerhans' cells, cortical double positive and single positive thymocytes, and by interdigitating dendritic cells (1). CD1A has been shown to identify T cell development (3).
