Product Description
Monoclonal Antibody for studying RNASE3 mouse. Validated for Western Blotting,Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin). Available in 2 sizes. Highly specific and rigorously validated in-house, Eosinophil cationic protein (F3G7N) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CST #99106) is ready to ship. Product Usage Information Western Blotting: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:100 - 1:400 Storage Supplied in 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg/mL BSA, 50% glycerol, and less than 0.02% sodium azide. Store at -20°C. Do not aliquot the antibody. For a carrier free (BSA and azide free) version of this product see product # 77698 . Protocol Available protocols: Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Specificity / Sensitivity Eosinophil cationic protein (F3G7N) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total Eosinophil cationic protein. By overexpression, this antibody cross-reacts with mouse Eosinophil cationic-type ribonuclease 3/Ear3 protein but not Eosinophil cationic protein 2/Ear2, Eosinophil-associated ribonuclease 10/Ear10, or Eosinophil cationic-type ribonuclease 5/Ear5 proteins. This antibody detects bands of unknown origin at 50 and 70 kDa in some cell lines and tissues. Non-specific staining was observed in crypts of mouse stomach and small intestine by immunohistochemistry. Species Reactivity: Mouse Source / Purification Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro30 of mouse Eosinophil cationic protein. Background Eosinophil cationic protein (ECP, RNASE3) is a member of the ribonuclease superfamily which has both cytotoxic and noncytotoxic properties (1-4). ECP is primarily produced and stored in the secondary granules of eosinophils, where it is involved in host defense against parasites, bacteria, and viruses (1-4). It has also been detected in the primary granules of circulating neutrophils, and can be synthesized by stimulated neutrophils (3,4). ECP is often used as a marker for eosinophilic disease and is measurable in samples such as serum, bronchoalveolar lavage, and nasal secretions (4). A large number of clinical studies are focused on the role of ECP in eosinophil-related disorders, particularly in asthma (5). Alternate Names Ear-1; Ear1; ECP 1; ECP1; Eosinophil cationic protein 1; Eosinophil secondary granule ribonuclease 1; eosinophil-associated ribonuclease 1; eosinophil-associated, ribonuclease A family, member 1; Raf1; Ribonuclease 3-1; ribonuclease A f1; RNase 3-1; RNASE3 Specification REACTIVITY: M SENSITIVITY: Endogenous MW (kDa): 18 Source/Isotype: Rabbit IgG
