This antibody recognizes the T7-tag fused to either the amino or carboxy terminus of targeted proteins in transfected cells. This antibody detects exogenously expressed T7-tagged proteins in cells expressed under a CMV promoter. Expression under other promoters has not been evaluated. Species Reactivity: All Species Expected Source / Purification This recombinant chimeric antibody is engineered from T7-Tag (D9E1X) XP Rabbit mAb #13246 according to animal-free protocols. The chimeric antibody retains its antigen-binding Fab regions from the original rabbit monoclonal antibody but contains a mouse-derived Fc domain. When multiplexing, Fc-directed rabbit secondaries are required to detect rabbit-host primary antibodies. The parent antibody, T7-Tag (D9E1X) XP Rabbit mAb #13246 is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic T7-tag peptide.
